    • SEVEN group has inaugurated its first hydrogen fueling station in Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe, Tarn, as part of the Occitan Region H2 Corridor Project.
    • The station, which also includes bioGNC capabilities, represents a significant investment in sustainable transport infrastructure, enhancing the region's commitment to green hydrogen.

The SEVEN group, a key player in renewable energy solutions, has officially opened its first hydrogen station in Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe, Tarn, marking a significant milestone in the development of sustainable transport infrastructure in the Occitanie region. This initiative is part of the broader H2 Corridor Project aimed at creating an interconnected network of hydrogen stations throughout the region.

Located alongside an existing bioGNC (biomethane compressed natural gas) station, the new hydrogen station was completed at a cost of EUR 4.8 million. It boasts a daily capacity of one tonne of hydrogen, with distribution options of 350 and 700 bar, catering to both light and heavy-duty vehicles. This capacity aligns well with the regional transportation needs, particularly supporting the 15 new hydrogen-powered buses operated by the regional transport service, liO.

The hydrogen for the station is supplied via a short circuit from the Electrolyser Lhyfe de Bessières, situated less than 10 kilometers away. This proximity ensures a sustainable supply chain and minimizes the environmental footprint associated with transport logistics. Jean-Louis Questat, Director of Industrial Operations at SEVEN, highlighted the project's success as a testament to strong coordination between technical and operational teams and key partners such as the Department of Tarn and Trifyl.

SEVEN, founded in 2017 and based in Montpellier, has been actively involved in developing renewable energy solutions for road and maritime transport. To date, the company has designed and operates 11 BioGNC stations, with the new facility in Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe representing its first foray into hydrogen distribution. This new station is a pivotal component of the H2 Corridor, which aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions and foster the adoption of green hydrogen technologies across the region.
