The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy proposed at an expert meeting held on the 2nd that the estimated cost of securing the adjustment capability to deal with forecast errors in renewable energy will be 120.74 billion yen in fiscal 2023. It will be about 1.5 times compared to the previous year. The cost of securing controllability corresponds to the "tertiary controllability (2)" procured by general power transmission and distribution companies on behalf of renewable energy power generation companies, and is covered by FIT (Feed-in Tariff Scheme) subsidies. In the calculation of subsidies for FY2011, an incentive to encourage general power transmission and distribution companies to reduce renewable energy prediction errors was included.
