Mitsubishi Heavy Industries announced on the 24th that it has completed the final part of the superconducting coil it is producing for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). It is expected to be shipped from the Port of Kobe to the construction site in the south of France later this month. We have received an order for five such coils from the National Institute of Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology (QST) and have completed production at this time. With the goal of starting operations of ITER in 2025, the company plans to continue to develop and manufacture key equipment such as diverters and horizontal launchers.
