Tohoku Electric Power to investigate wind power generation development in Fukui City
Tohoku Electric Power announced that it will start a feasibility study to install a wind power generator at the foot of Mt. Kunimi in Fukui City. In collaboration with SB Energy (Tokyo, Minato), which is affiliated with the SoftBank Group, we will investigate the local wind conditions and the profitability of the business.

The plan calls for the installation of up to nine 4,200-kilowatt-class wind power generators, with an expected output of 37,800 kilowatts. The plant is expected to generate approximately 105 million kilowatt hours of power per year, and construction is scheduled to begin in September 2024 with the aim of starting operations in May 2027.
SB Energy has opened a local office to strengthen relationships with local governments and residents. Tohoku Electric Power also said, "We will proceed with the project while gaining the understanding of local residents."
