Keikyu Corporation will start dismantling the former Lion head office building (pictured) in Sumida Ward, Tokyo on July 1. There are three existing buildings with a total of 24,000 square meters. Haseko Corporation will handle the demolition work, which will be completed by January 2027. Keikyu Electric Railway has not disclosed a development plan for the site, but the ward, after coordinating with parties concerned, has already formulated a town development policy to invite condominiums and green spaces to the site. After the demolition is complete, it is expected that the facilities will be developed according to the policy.

There are three buildings: 1 floor, 4 floors above ground, total area of 4,074 square meters. Dismantle everything.
In March, the ward drew up a "Community Development Policy for the Sumida Riverside Area (Kuramae Bridge to Komagata Bridge Area)." The policy mentions that a large-scale private development is planned on the former site of Lion's headquarters. In cooperation with the private sector, it will guide the development of apartment houses, green areas, and open spaces where various generations can live. He also showed a future image of how the facility development will lead to the improvement of the liveliness of the region and the strengthening of disaster prevention capabilities.
In 2020, Lion sold the land for its headquarters to Haseko Corporation. In April of this year, it moved to Kuramae JP Terrace (1-3-28, Kuramae, Taito-ku, Tokyo).
