Sojitz Receives International Sustainability & Carbon Certification with ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU Certifications

    Sojitz Corporation Tokyo head office (“Sojitz”) has obtained International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) with both ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU.

    ISCC is an international certification system that utilizes the mass balance method*¹ to monitor and track sustainable biomass and renewable materials in supply chains. Sojitz has received both ISCC PLUS, which applies to food, feed, bio-based products, energy, and biofuels outside the EU market, as well as ISCC EU, which covers biofuels in the EU market.

    With this certification, Sojitz will now handle ISCC-certified biofuels and biochemicals.
