The total investment in the Fangchenggang offshore wind power generation model project is scheduled to be approximately 24.5 billion yuan (approximately 465.5 billion yen). Once fully completed, the annual transmission capacity will exceed 5 billion kWh, meeting the basic power needs of 5 million households. It can reduce standard coal consumption by 1.5 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 4 million tons. Besides meeting basic power demand, the project will also drive the formation of an offshore wind power industry in Guangxi, an industrial cluster with wind turbine, tower and blade equipment manufacturing as its core.
