Oriental Consultants announced on the 17th that it had developed a "tunnel lighting automatic design system" with the aim of saving labor and ensuring quality in tunnel lighting design. A design support system that automates a series of design processes such as lighting calculation, blueprint creation, and quantity calculation. A series of tasks can be performed automatically by simply entering the design conditions required for lighting calculations into the program. The amount of work can be reduced to 1/3 compared to the conventional method.
The developed system can handle road tunnels under a wide range of conditions. It can be applied to the renewal design of lighting equipment for about 11,000 road tunnels nationwide and the design of tunnel lighting equipment to be newly developed in the future.
The tunnel lighting renewal business requires a plan that meticulously responds to the renewal conditions unique to the target tunnel and the individual needs of the customer. Furthermore, the technological development of lamps is progressing remarkably, and the latest technical research is indispensable, and it tends to take a long time from the planning of lamps to the determination of specifications. For this reason, it was required to quickly perform lighting calculations, blueprint creation, and quantity calculations for the determined specifications.
It is necessary to perform multiple lighting calculations to determine the placement of lighting, and each time the design conditions are entered and checked. In the process of creating design drawings and bills of quantities based on calculation results, reliable delivery of design conditions affects the quality of deliverables.
