Taiyo Holdings (Taiyo HD) announced on November 15 that its subsidiary Taiyo Green Energy (Arashiyama-cho, Saitama Prefecture) has started operating a floating solar power plant in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture.
We used the Nishimuro Pond in Nishimuro, Katsuragi City.
This will be the 15th solar power plant in operation for Taiyo Green Energy, all of which will be installed on the water. With this operation, the expected annual power generation capacity of Taiyo HD Group's solar power plants has increased to approximately 26 GWh, which is equivalent to the power consumption of approximately 8,534 ordinary households.
The "Nishimuroike Floating Solar Power Plant" that started operation this time has an output of approximately 619.2 kW, and is expected to generate approximately 763,000 kWh of power in the first year.
The electricity sales unit price based on the feed-in tariff system (FIT) is 18 yen/kWh (excluding tax), and the electricity is sold to Kansai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution.
Many of Taiyo Green Energy's recent operational projects have been commercialized by acquiring floating solar power generation projects that have already obtained permits and licenses, including facility certification, from developers.
This project was approved by an environmental resource development consultant (Kita Ward, Osaka City), and it appears that Taiyo Green Energy later acquired the project.
The EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) service was handled by an environmental resource development consultant, and the company's floats were also adopted.
The solar panels are made by Jinko Solar Holding of China, and the power conditioner (PCS) is made by Huawei Technologies of China.
