Shizuoka Railway, trains and buses will be free on the 19th Increasing momentum for decarbonization
Shizuoka Railway Group will open "COOL CHOICE 2022 in Shizuoka" on the 19th, making trains and Shizutetsu buses free all day. The aim is to increase the momentum to ride trains and buses, which emit less carbon dioxide (CO2). We will also plan events where you can experience businesses and initiatives that lead to decarbonization.

In addition to the Shizuoka Railway Shizuoka Shimizu Line, approximately 40 Shizuoka Bus routes within Shizuoka City will be free. We plan to distribute a "one-day free ticket" at each station that allows you to get on and off at any of the 15 train stations. Buses will be available free of charge even without a ticket, but this will not apply to routes such as the Shizuoka Line at Mt.
We will also enhance events in collaboration with the government and private organizations. With venues such as Sumpu Castle Park, commercial facilities, and new Shizuoka cenova in Shizuoka City, events such as exhibitions and workshops will be held to raise interest in decarbonization. High school and university students are also planning to propose ways to reduce environmental impact.
