On August 5, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Natural Resources and Energy in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced that they will implement a Solar Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program to share solar power (agricultural solar power generation) projects found to be in violation of the Agricultural Land Act.・The government announced that it has temporarily suspended the Electricity Supply Charge (FIP) subsidy.

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry suspends funding due to violation of Agricultural Land Law
This time, 342 solar energy sharing enterprises and 20 enterprises have suspended FIT/FIP subsidies, with a total certified output of 17,567kW (17,567MW). The specific enterprise names have not been made public.
Specifically, the person who was granted a license to convert agricultural land made a request for correction or ordered the restoration of the original state by not continuing to cultivate on lower agricultural land or not dismantling equipment even after the expiration of the temporary conversion period. There are 15 cases and 6 enterprises.
In addition, 327 projects (14 projects) required to apply for agricultural land conversion permits within 3 years after being certified as FIT failed to apply for agricultural land conversion permits during the period and lacked FIT certifiers.
The Renewable Energy Special Measures Act (Amendment of the Act on Special Measures Regarding the Promotion of Renewable Energy Electricity Use), which came into effect on April 1, requires the implementation of FIT to encourage businesses that violate relevant laws and regulations to resolve their violations as soon as possible.・A new measure has been established to temporarily suspend FIP subsidies. In addition, measures have been established to collect suspended subsidies if violations are not resolved and the certification is revoked.
On April 2, in conjunction with the implementation of the revised Renewable Energy Special Measures Act, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry suspended subsidies for nine solar power generation projects that clearly violated the Forestry Act. This is the second temporary subsidy suspension and the first for a solar power sharing project.
