Tokyu Land Corporation and Shin Energy Co., Ltd. (Kobe City) announced on December 27 that they have entered into a capital and business alliance with the main objective of further strengthening the development capabilities of renewable energy power plants in order to expand their renewable energy business.

In the future, we will discuss the specifics of the business alliance. As part of the alliance, Tokyu Land acquired a portion of Shin Energy's common stock on December 23. The acquisition price is not disclosed, but it will be a minor investment.

Tokyu Land entered the renewable energy business in 2014. From 2018, it will be developed under the business brand “ReENE”. As of the end of November 2022, there will be 94 renewable energy power plants nationwide (81 solar power plants, 10 wind power plants, 2 biomass plants) with a rated capacity of 1,345 MW (including those under development) (related article: Matsumae Town " To build a microgrid, the whole town becomes independent with wind power and storage batteries).

Shin Energy's business concept is to provide a platform for forming communities and regions that recycle resources based on energy. In addition to continuous project development of renewable energy power plants, as a new initiative, we aim to develop a non-FIT power source that does not rely on the feed-in tariff (FIT) and build a business system that utilizes storage batteries (related article: "Unlimited ・Profi even without compensation, extra-high mega solar power plant in Takizawa City).
