The Japan Sewerage Works Agency (JS, President Yasuhiro Morioka) has released the first edition of the guidebook "Methods of using drainage BIM/CIM" for contractors and contractors such as construction. Explain the value of using BIM/CIM based on the authorized business that JS has done so far. We aim to eliminate the loss of information that tends to occur in each project process and to realize high-quality projects. The handbook will be reviewed sequentially based on the knowledge gained from later work.
This is a BIM/CIM handbook that can be used at all stages (conception, planning, design, construction and management) related to drainage projects and includes a total of 35 page. The booklet contains information about the equipment and skills required for each case: ▽Building consensus ▽Understanding the current situation ▽Study the facility layout ▽Study the equipment layout ▽Study Construction study ▽Quantity/estimated price calculation ▽Spatial adjustment ▽Complete status record ▽Provide recorded digital data.
During the conceptualization and planning stages, 3D models created with scripting and BIM/CIM software are useful for building consensus with construction workers and residents. At the design stage, simulations were performed to see if openings and embedded piping in the facility would interfere and the effect of preventing rework in subsequent processes would be appealing. .
In the next phase of construction, data generation such as construction area and site based on point cloud data and images captured by 360-degree cameras will help visualize the completed construction. The generated data can also be linked to maintenance information, which is expected to improve maintenance efficiency.
Pages 13 to 16 show the priority order of using BIM/CIM at the design and construction stages according to project characteristics such as site conditions and construction time. We are calling for this document to be used as a reference for orderers to create an EIR (orderer information request) asking contractors about the purpose and method of using BIM/CIM.
