Korea Western Power and Linde Korea Collaborate on Clean Hydrogen Energy Development

On September 22, 2025, Korea Western Power Co. and Linde Korea signed a cooperation agreement in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do. Linde Korea is a subsidiary of Linde Group, specializing in gas technology, hydrogen value chain, and CO₂ capture, liquefaction, and storage technologies.
Agreement Details:

Cooperation in clean hydrogen production and supply, as well as CO₂ capture and storage technologies.

Establishment of exchange networks, including business model development and technology exchange meetings.

Implementation of necessary projects to promote mutual developmental cooperation.
Cooperation Objectives:
Through this collaboration, Korea Western Power aims to contribute to securing core technologies for clean hydrogen power generation, enhancing business promotion capabilities, and building a clean hydrogen power generation ecosystem in South Korea.
President Lee Jung-bok of Korea Western Power stated, "We will strengthen our clean hydrogen power generation capabilities through CCS technology in cooperation with world-renowned hydrogen companies. We will continue to take the lead in realizing the government's energy transition policy by constantly upgrading technology to build clean hydrogen-based carbon-free power plants."
