CCU concept has been raised in Ishikari City
Efforts toward a carbon-free society are deeply linked to regional revitalization. We have summarized the movement toward a zero-carbon city that spreads in Hokkaido. In Ishikari City, north of Sapporo City, a CCU concept has been raised to collect and use carbon dioxide (CO2), and in Muroran City, the "iron town", the momentum for attracting offshore wind power is increasing. In Kushiro City, a demonstration experiment of "blue carbon" that absorbs CO2 using algae has started. In Kamishihoro Town, Tokachi region, we are working on the utilization of biogas using bovine manure.
