JAPAN TESTING LABORATORIES (JTL, Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture), which provides contract evaluation services for products developed by companies, has introduced ``PPA (power purchase agreement) service on the side outside'' provided by Chubu Electric Power Miraiz. It has been announced that electricity supply will begin on May 10.

JTL operates as one of the largest testing laboratories in Japan, requiring multiple evaluation facilities to operate continuously, consuming large amounts of electricity. This service enables you to purchase stable electricity from JTL's dedicated solar power plant and contribute to realizing a carbon-neutral society by actively using electricity derived from renewable energy.

Electricity will be purchased from a solar power plant with a capacity of about 530kW in Mie Prefecture operated by Genex of Chubu Electric Power Corporation (Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture) and will be supplied to the JTL Kasugai Office in the City Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture. The amount of electricity supplied will be approximately 620,000 kWh, equivalent to approximately 15% of the plant's annual usage, and is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by approximately 269 tons. The contract term is 20 years.
This is the first time JTL has introduced the PPA service of Chubu Electric Power Miraiz. Chubu Electric Power Miraize's off-site PPA service has been deployed at 10 Sugi Pharmacy stores operated by Sugi Holdings and 6 Okuwa Super Center stores operated by Okuwa.
