The Japan Building Drone Association (JADA, Chairman Kenji Motohashi) and the UAS Industry Promotion Council (JUIDA, Chairman Shinji Suzuki), who are involved in the utilization and popularization of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and drones, are operating drones to investigate the outer walls of buildings. Based on the fact that the system revision by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has made it possible to investigate the outer wall with a drone equipped with an infrared device, we will train operators who can safely and appropriately photograph the deterioration situation. Part of the Aviation Law Enforcement Regulations was amended in September last year, and if certain conditions such as moored flight are met, it is now possible to fly without permission or approval from the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism even in densely populated areas. While deregulation will be a tailwind, difficult skills such as flying at equal intervals to the wall will be required when shooting the outer wall, so we will establish a place for education to acquire the skills required by the guidelines of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The "Drone Building Safety Flight Skills Course" to be offered is expected to last about 3 days. Education on flight skills required for exterior wall inspection, curriculum for creating drone flight plans, and mooring skills. Applicable to those who have completed JUIDA's maneuvering skill course and JADA's architectural drone safety education course.
On the 9th, both organizations signed a memorandum of understanding for the human resources development project. JADA Chairman Motohashi acknowledged that "drones in the construction field are becoming more active."
