Fortis, PowerChina team up for 850 MW of solar, wind in SEE

Units of Turkish renewables company Fortis Energy and Power Construction Corporation of China (SHA:601669), also known as PowerChina, have agreed to cooperate on the development and construction of over 850 MW of new solar and wind projects in Serbia and Southeast Europe (SEE).

Fortis Energy and Construction DOO Beograd and PowerChina International Group Limited have sealed a framework agreement on the planned partnership which is aimed at supporting the region’s greener and more sustainable future, Fortis noted in a recent press statement.

Fortis is currently developing 509 MW of wind farms, for which it secured permits earlier this month, and solar power projects with a total capacity of 387 MWp in Serbia.
