Progress update meeting of Pacific Group, SkyDrive and Kawasaki and Vung Tau City
On August 5, 2024, at the Office of Vung Tau City People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh, Chairman of the City People's Committee and leaders of functional departments had a meeting and worked with a business delegation including Pacific Group, Khang Gia Nguyen, SkyDrive and Kawasaki on updating the progress of project proposals in Vung Tau City.

On behalf of the leaders of Vung Tau City, Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh welcomed and thanked Japanese investors and businesses for their creative proposals to the City, in line with the development orientation of Vung Tau to become a high-class tourist city in Vietnam.
Mr. Takase Kuno, international project development director of SkyDrive Japan's flying car corporation, reported a detailed proposal for permission to conduct a pre-feasibility study, a project to establish infrastructure for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flying cars in Vung Tau City, aiming to create a new tourist attraction in this coastal city. The research team requested permission from the City to submit to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province for permission to conduct a pre-feasibility study. As soon as the policy of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province is received, the research team (including Pacific Group, SkyDrive, a flying car infrastructure development company, a flying car charging station development company and a Japanese consulting company) will submit a budget request to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and if approved, the research team will conduct a survey and research process throughout 2025 and submit a report by the end of 2025 to serve as a premise for promoting investment in the formation of flying car infrastructure and piloting flying car sightseeing services in Vung Tau City from 2026.
Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh expressed his thanks to the leaders of Vung Tau City for arranging effective working sessions with the Japanese delegation and sincerely thanked the leaders of the City Party Committee and People's Committee for issuing documents supporting the policy of conducting pre-feasibility studies. Regarding Pacific Group, Mr. Minh said that he will make every effort to create breakthrough projects and completely innovative technology for the coastal city.
Mr. Mitsuhiko Okada, General Director of Kawasaki Motors Vietnam, updated the progress of ordering and importing Kawsaki Australia's Jet Ski to Vietnam, expected to arrive in Vietnam at the end of August 2024 and hold a handover ceremony to Vung Tau City to serve rescue work in early September 2024.

On behalf of the leaders of Vung Tau City, Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh thanked Kawasaki Group and hoped that the Group would research and coordinate with the City to organize an international jet ski race to create more tourism highlights for the City. The leaders of Vung Tau City would like to sincerely thank SkyDrive Group and Pacific Group and hope that the research team will soon send a detailed proposal so that the City can seek the opinion of the Provincial leaders to allow the feasibility study to be conducted as soon as possible.
