Aioi Nissay will focus on insurance products for renewable energy businesses
Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Co. will start a service by the end of this year to introduce excellent renewable energy generators to companies. We select companies based on their track record of stable operation, and outsource everything from installing power generation equipment to their bases to operating them. Utilizing the knowledge gained in insurance, we support the creation of a system that enables companies to procure renewable energy in a stable manner.
Aioi Nissay evaluates the extent of damage suffered during a disaster and the construction performance of each renewable energy power generation company. Select a highly reliable business operator and introduce it to the introducing company. Aioi Nissay will receive commissions from the power producers who have been introduced.
It will be used to select companies for corporate PPAs (power purchase agreements) that purchase the power generated by companies. A corporate PPA will provide a stable supply of renewable energy power to a contracted company for about 15 to 20 years.
In addition, Aioi Nissay will soon launch a new insurance product for power generation companies that will sign a corporate PPA. It also compensates for the cost of repairing damaged solar panels and the cost of procuring renewable energy to supply customers as an alternative to promote the introduction of the system.
