Zhongneng installs first turbine

    300MW Taiwanese offshore wind farm will feature 31 Vestas V174-9.5MW units

    The first turbine has been installed at the 300MW Zhongneng offshore wind project off Taiwan.

    In total the wind farm will feature 31 Vestas V174-9.5MW machines.

    The project, headed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and China Steel, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
    Chairman of the Zhongneng project Wang Shyi-chin said: “The installation of the first turbine has set a solid base for the ongoing turbine installation campaign.

    “We look forward to contributing to Taiwan's renewable energy development through the construction Zhongneng while meeting stringent localisation requirements at the same time.”
