Zenken Soren has formulated the ``Zenken Soren Future Vision 2030'', which summarizes key initiatives such as promoting entry and retention in the construction industry and popularizing the Construction Career Development System (CCUS). We aim to overcome the difficult situation by presenting the challenges and countermeasures facing the construction industry as we approach the 70th anniversary of the founding of Zenken Corporation in 2030. The vision was announced at the 65th regular meeting held at Pacifico Yokohama in Nishi-ku, Yokohama from the 23rd to the 25th.
Our vision is to improve the way construction workers are treated and create the foundation for an attractive working environment. Promote entry and retention in the construction industry, while proactively securing and developing talent. : nurture and strengthen national construction and insurance unions, enhance union appeal and create a virtuous cycle of organisational expansion.
To improve the treatment of skilled workers, we will step up efforts to ensure appropriate wages. We will set specific numerical targets and carry out a campaign to demand a nationwide increase in wages and uniform unit prices, as well as organize and establish subcommittees for each occupation category focusing on CCUS skills assessment.
In order to secure and retain human resources, it is important to disseminate information about the attractiveness of the construction industry from an early age, and we will develop vocational education that allows students to experience the joy and appeal of manufacturing work at each stage, such as elementary school, middle school and high school.
For post-employment training, we will support the stable operation of certified vocational schools, which play a central role in training technicians. Specifically, we will call on member enterprises to recruit students, expand the number of enterprises accepting trainees, and ask the central and provincial governments to increase subsidies for certified vocational training programs.
