Investigating Anchor Bolts Nondestructively

Removal of damaged light poles
On the 16th, West Nippon Expressway Engineering Kansai (President Mitsuhiro Murao) conducted an emergency recovery drill in Kobe City in preparation for accidents and disasters on expressways. Five types of drills, including the removal of lighting poles and the supply of temporary power sources, were carried out in an attempt to improve the ability to respond to emergencies. Until last year, we assumed a disaster and conducted emergency restoration training from initial response to temporary restoration.
The training location is the Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets temporary parking lot in Kita Ward, Kobe City. About 100 people from 11 offices, including Osaka and Kobe, participated, and young employees showed their daily efforts.
At the beginning, Fumio Kume, managing director of the company, said, "If the electricity supply is interrupted, various facilities and functions will be damaged or stopped.Especially in the event of an emergency, a quick recovery is required.Training to restore as soon as possible. I hope that it will lead to a better future. Please join forces and work together to ensure safety,” said President Murao.
During the training, a "Phased Array Survey" that non-destructively diagnoses the condition of the lighting pole foundation anchor bolts was demonstrated, and it was confirmed that the bolts were cracked. After that, the pole was removed. Assuming that the lighting poles were damaged in an accident or disaster, we also conducted emergency removal training using a truck with a crane.
In addition, tunnel lighting fixtures were removed and replaced with LED lighting fixtures, training was conducted to install temporary lighting to ensure sufficient brightness at the site, and drills were also implemented to install temporary generators assuming wide-area power outages, and to restore roads in the event of an emergency. confirmed the work towards
