Watami announced on January 26 that Watami Energy (Ota-ku, Tokyo), which is engaged in the renewable energy business in the company group, started a solar sharing (agricultural solar photovoltaic power generation facility) and announced that it will start operating from December 2022.
The output of the solar panel is 506 kW, and the grid output is 248 kW. Annual power generation is expected to be 503,000 kWh. The generated power will be sold to Rikuzentakata Shimin Energy, a local new power company, as non-FIT power that does not depend on the feed-in tariff (FIT) through negotiated transactions (single-year contract), and some will be self-consumed (self-consumption). about 10%).
The solar panels are made by Kyocera, the power conditioner (PCS) is made by Huawei in China, and the solar sharing mount is made by Xiamen Kaseng Metal Technology Co., Ltd. in China. Under solar panels, 500 organic wine grapes will be grown.
Since 2012, Watami Energy has been working on renewable energy businesses such as wind power generation and solar power generation, and has built a mechanism to invest 1% of electricity sales in renewable energy development. This solar sharing is the first step of the investment, and the investment amount will be about 18.61 million yen.
