Singapore-based renewables company Vena Energy has put on stream a 51-MW solar park in Japan’s central prefecture of Ishikawa, touted as one of the largest of its kind there.

The Nanao Solar photovoltaic (PV) plant covers 102 hectares (252 acres) of land and is equipped with 118,848 solar panels. Their combined estimated output is enough to supply approximately 10,443 local homes.

The project was developed by a joint venture (JV) between Vena Energy and Kyudenko Corporation, a company providing renewables survey, design and construction.

Vena Energy has a portfolio of 43 GW of onshore, offshore, and battery assets across the Asia-Pacific region, its main operating market. Nanao Solar is its first renewable energy project in Ishikawa.
