Installation of a dome in the containment
vessel/digitization of control panel has steadily progressed. In addition to setting up an emergency response center to comply with the new regulatory standards, a shielding roof will be installed above the reactor containment vessel to reduce exposure doses in the event of an accident. The central control panel has been digitized to improve operability and visibility. On June 29, the facilities for which safety improvement countermeasure construction was completed on site were shown to the press.
Protective nets and steel plates were installed in the fuel replacement water tank (Unit 2 is in the back of the photo).
