Notice of Tender for Support in Developing a Master Plan for Reconstruction of Midori City Hospital/Nagoya City University, Bidding Opened on April 3

Nagoya City University is planning to relocate and rebuild its affiliated medical school, Midori City Hospital, and the number of beds is expected to increase by 45 to 250. Taking this into account, the school plans to draw up a basic plan for fiscal year 2025 in September. The method of outsourcing work will be decided as soon as possible. In order to support planning from a professional perspective, on the 19th, the government announced a public competitive bidding process with post-bid qualification confirmation for the "Basic Planning Support Contract for the Reconstruction of Midori City Hospital". The bidding for this work, which targets medical consultants and others, will open on April 3.

Midori Municipal Hospital (1-77 Shiomigaoka, Midori-ku, Nagoya) consists of the main building (total area of 7,783 square meters), completed in 1969, the south building (total area of 6,920 square meters), completed in 1988, and the north building (total area of 1,563 square meters), completed in 1998. Due to deterioration, this route will be reconstructed in the Narumi Station Frontage Type 2 Urban Redevelopment Project area (Narumi-cho, Midori Ward, etc.) in front of Meitetsu Narumi Station.

In fiscal 2012, the hospital commissioned Azusa Sekkei to carry out the basic planning work, based on a plan to increase the number of beds by 140 to 345 after the reconstruction. However, considering the total number of beds in the area and the impact on private medical care, the plan was changed to add another 45 beds. The plan was approved at the meeting of the Health System Subcommittee of the Aichi Prefectural Medical Council held on the 14th of this month, and the basic planning work will now begin again. We will work with the support service contractor who has started the bidding process to develop the plan. Once the plan is developed, if the basic design begins, the project cost will be included in the supplementary budget.
