Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (HD) announced on the 23rd that it has completed the second discharge into the ocean of water treated by the multinuclear removal system (ALPS) at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant . The second of three tank systems released 7,810 cubic meters in about 17 days. Starting today, the 24th, we will begin preparing for the third release after testing and confirming the device and operations.
TEPCO HD began releasing group C water, the second measurement and confirmation tank system from A to C, on October 5. Emissions remained stable at approximately 460 cubic meters/day. The tritium concentration was about 200 becquerels/liter, within the standard value of 1,500 becquerels.
