    The Yoshime Group, which manufactures and sells building materials in Nara Prefecture, and the Hida Itsuki Group, which develops forestry, lumber, construction, regional trading companies, and energy businesses mainly in the Tokai region, conduct surveys of suitable sites for small hydroelectric power generation and develop power sources. A new company "Kinki Small Hydropower Co., Ltd." was established. Announced on February 22nd.

    Both the Yoshime Group and the Hida Itsuki Group are working on the effective use of wood resources. In light of the global trend toward decarbonization, the two companies agreed to contribute to increasing the value of mountains by uncovering the energy resources that mountains have as natural capital, and this led to the establishment of the new company. The head office is located in Shimoichi-machi, Nara Prefecture, and the capital is 98 million yen. The representative is Mr. Ryuzo Kaimoto, president of Yoshimei.

    The new company is considering the development of small-scale hydroelectric power generation in the Kinki region, centering on Nara and Wakayama prefectures, as well as Hyogo, Shiga, and Kyoto prefectures, as well as surrounding prefectures such as Tottori, Fukui, and Okayama prefectures. go. In each survey and development, we aim to contribute to regional revitalization in collaboration with local governments and stakeholders.

    Since business operations and relationships rooted in the region are important for the development of small hydroelectric power plants, the network of the Yoshime Group, which operates mainly in the Kinki region, and the small hydroelectric power generation of the Hida Itsuki Group at various locations throughout the country.
