    Takenaka Corporation signed a "Building Wood Utilization Promotion Agreement" with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the 10th to realize a carbon-free society. Both parties will cooperate and cooperate toward the realization of the company's plan to expand the use of timber through the promotion of medium- and high-rise wooden buildings. The agreement is valid until March 31, 2027.


    The agreement system was established in response to the Building Wood Utilization Promotion Law that came into effect in October last year. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will give priority to supporting the signatories of the agreement through subsidy projects.


    Takenaka Corporation has expanded the areas and degrees of freedom in which timber can be used through wood innovation, and promoted the use of domestic timber in medium- and high-rise wooden buildings. To realize a carbon-free society, we will build and disseminate a "forest grand cycle" in which forest resources and the local economy circulate sustainably.
    Based on the "Act on Promotion of Distribution and Utilization of Legally Logging Wood, etc." (Clean Wood Act), we will promote the use of timber whose legality has been confirmed and contribute to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
