TAISEI GROUP / EXPANDING THE APPLICATION OF PILE FOUNDATION CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO ON-SITE CASTING, AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING REPORTS

Taisei Corporation has expanded the functionality of ``T-Pile Recorder'', a comprehensive construction data management system for pile foundations introduced primarily for construction work. In addition to conventional prefabricated piles, the application has been extended to cast-in-place piles, which have many complex and management items. The cloud is used to automate everything from checking construction data to keeping quality control records and creating construction management documents. It is said that working time can be reduced by about 60% compared to conventional methods, which are mainly manual document preparation work.

The system has expanded functions for cast-in-place piles, supporting construction management of inverted piles, full-body piles and underground walls widely used in civil engineering projects.

For precast piles, there are 6 construction management items, from pile transportation to pile driving, excavation and pile installation, while on-site cast piles have more than 10 items that need to be managed. The system has been improved by adding management items such as acceptance testing of specific rebar bars for cast-in-place construction, stable fluid properties and slime treatment during excavation and cage erection. rebar, rebar joints and concrete pouring during pile installation.

Various management documents and photo ledgers can be created automatically by importing construction records such as actual measurements from smart devices, sending them to the cloud and saving them. It also has the function of displaying a warning on the application screen and management documents if the actual measurement value entered in the field exceeds the control value. Prevent errors in document generation and input, and achieve highly reliable construction management.

The conventional method of pre-made piles introduced in 2018 is applied to embedded piles (pre-drilled piles, hollow piles). It has been used to improve the efficiency of management of more than 22,000 pile foundations at approximately 230 locations. The company is also gradually using the system to manage the construction of cast-in-place piles, ``reducing the burden of quality control documentation, which is a major cause of overtime, and to further improve productivity at many civil works. and construction sites.” That's a thought.
