The Chinese company will supply its PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system to the Hams Hall Energy Storage project in central England. The project is meeting the growing demand for grid-scale energy storage technology in the UK utility market due to the significant integration of renewable energy, the company explained.

The Hams Hall project, designed to be grid-connected, will feature 280 PowerTitan 2.0 systems.

This agreement expands Sungrow's partnership with BW ESS.

“We have had many successful collaborations with Sungrow, both in our Swedish project portfolio and by bringing their innovative liquid-cooled 3-hour energy storage system to Europe at our pioneering Bramley project in the UK. We are delighted to do so again at Hams Hall,” said BW ESS CEO Erik Stromso.

Sungrow recently delivered PowerTitan 2.0 units for the 100 MW/330 MW Bramley project.
