The "Para Sports Experience in Fukuoka" was held on the 12th at the Fukuoka City General Gymnasium (Teruba Sekisui House Arena) = photo. Sponsored by Fukuoka Teruha Arena (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City), which manages the facility, with the cooperation of Shimizu Corporation. We conveyed the appeal of the Paralympic Games boccia to children and families who visited the facility.
Shimizu Corporation has been cooperating with a sports experience event for the disabled since 2015 as part of activities aimed at a symbiotic society. Participates in various experience sessions at a pace of three times a year. The company also cooperated in the development of "CYBER BOCCIA S" used in this experience session. Making full use of digital technology, you can easily enjoy the competition of throwing 6 balls each of red and blue to decide the victory or defeat.
Parents and children of fathers and daughters who experienced boccia after practicing Yumi at the gymnasium commented, "Competition using the head" and "It was difficult to adjust the strength".
A talk show by Shota Kawano, a wheelchair tennis player based in Fukuoka, was also held.
