The number of prefectures that respond appropriately to the unit price of materials has doubled, and all materials have been updated with the latest price data/Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism survey

The number of prefectures that update the unit price of materials used when estimating the estimated price of public works every month based on the latest price data has doubled in the past few months. As of May 20, 15 groups had set unit prices by citing the latest month's listed prices for all materials, but as of October 1, 29 groups had set them. This seems to be the result of a heightened awareness of the need to flexibly reflect current prices in the wake of the rapid rise in material prices.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism investigated the status of initiatives in each prefecture. Since April, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has been requesting public orderers to revise the unit price of materials in a timely manner and to bring forward and increase the frequency of independent surveys. In order to respond appropriately to price fluctuations, we are working to update unit prices for all materials based on the most recent month's price data.
Iwate, Yamagata, Fukushima, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Ishikawa, Fukui, Shiga, Kyoto, Tottori, and Okayama have improved in some way since the previous survey (as of May 20). ▽ Yamaguchi ▽ Tokushima ▽ Kagawa ▽ Ehime ▽ Fukuoka ▽ Saga ▽ Okinawa - 20 groups. In some cases, the target of monthly unit price updates, which was limited to major materials, was expanded to all materials, and the operation of updating unit prices when the price fluctuation rate set in advance was exceeded was reviewed.
On the other hand, some local governments responded to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's survey that it would be difficult to review operations immediately, as improving operations would require greater costs and administrative burdens than before.
For ready-mixed concrete and asphalt mixture, we are investigating transaction prices through private outsourcing in areas not listed in price data.
In the previous survey, 5 organizations did not respond to regular monthly surveys or occasional surveys based on monthly fluctuation rate confirmation. As of October 1, there were two groups for ready-mixed concrete and three groups for ashes. Since the last survey, 10 groups -- Iwate, Ibaraki, Gunma, Ishikawa, Aichi, Yamaguchi, Tokushima, Saga, Miyazaki, and Okinawa -- have improved their operations.
