The expected power output is 1.99MW, with an expected annual electricity generation of about 14.5 million kWh, equivalent to the electricity generated by about 5,000 average households. The plant will be built by Takuma, with boilers manufactured by Takuma and turbines manufactured by Shin Nippon Machinery.

The main fuel is unused wood chips and forest residue from Iwate Prefecture. The generated electricity will be sold to the Tohoku Electric Power Grid based on the feed-in tariff (FIT) system. The purchase price through the FIT is 24 yen/kWh for conventional materials and 40 yen/kWh for unused materials.

The project implementer is Furusato FIC Energy (Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture). The three companies jointly invested and established the company in May 2022. The representative is Furusato Mokuzai Logistics. The aim is to start operations in January 2026.
