AI Robots Install 500,000 Solar Panels in Australia Faster Than Human Crews
At the Goorambat East Solar Farm in Victoria, Australia, a fleet of AI-powered robots from Luminous Robotics (USA) is rapidly installing nearly 500,000 solar panels, outperforming any human crew. Supported by a $4.9 million investment from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), the LUMI S4 robots utilize AI technology to autonomously lift and place solar modules onto racking structures.
This project not only accelerates the transition to clean energy but also creates new employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The Goorambat East Solar Farm has a capacity of 250 MW, sufficient to power approximately 105,000 homes in Victoria.
