J-Power (Electric Power Development) announced on the 30th that it will develop solar power generation and storage battery facilities of up to 2 million kilowatts in total in the state of Queensland in the northeastern part of the country in partnership with Australian renewable energy company Genex Power. We will expand our business by capturing the local demand for renewable energy, which is expected to increase. The start date of operation is undecided.
J-Power and Genex signed a joint development agreement. In the future, both companies are expected to establish a 50/50 business company. The total cost of the project was not disclosed.
