Nitto Kohki/Construction of a new factory in Fukushima City, 3 stories, 20,000 square meters, construction started in July 2023

Nitto Kohki (President: Meisei Ogata), which manufactures mechanical equipment, announced on November 29 that it plans to build a new factory in the Fukushima Ozaso Inter Industrial Park in Fukushima City. The aging factory buildings of Medtech, a group company that manufactures the company's products, and Shirakawa Nitto Kohki will be consolidated. The new factory is expected to be a three-story steel building with a total area of 19,934 square meters. Construction is scheduled to start in July 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2024. The investment amount is expected to be approximately 11.2 billion yen.
The location of the new factory is 1-1 Miyanoshita Ozaso, Fukushima City (site area: 28,183 square meters). The board of directors resolved on November 29th to plan to purchase the land through public offering by the city. The business is manufacturing construction equipment (door closers, electric drivers, mechanical tools, etc.). Realize smart factories such as automatic warehouses and remote control, and work on safe and comfortable workplaces and labor-saving, labor-saving and efficiency of production. The new factory is scheduled to start operation in April 2025.
We are also working on decarbonization by using solar power generation and geothermal heat. The concept is an "attractive factory" that takes into consideration the surrounding scenery. The designer is undisclosed. A contractor will be selected around spring 2023.
According to the plan, Medtech in Yamagata City and Shirakawa Nitto Kohki in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture will be integrated.
