The People, Dreams, and Technology Group will further focus on developing businesses in overseas cooperation areas. The company hopes to increase sales in related areas to about 10 billion yen by 2030. While leveraging its strengths in infrastructure projects such as bridges and railways in the Asian region, the company will also strengthen software areas such as using IT in town development, based on the belief that "we cannot boost the economy unless we also develop the region" (President Taiji Eiji). In addition to actively developing businesses using private capital, the company also aims to understand tourism demand and expand its product business.

President Yasushi Eiji
At the financial results press conference for the fiscal year ending September 2024 held in Tokyo on November 28, President Eiji and other executives explained management policies and other matters. In order to realize the company's "Long-term Vision 2030," a management plan looking toward fiscal 2030, CEO Hiroyuki Shiogama emphasized that "Overseas areas have particular growth potential." In addition to businesses such as bridges and railways, the company is strengthening its internal structure to develop software areas that can respond to population growth, such as urban development in Asia. The plan focuses on urban development and traffic planning using IT.
In Vietnam, Chodai Group and Chodai Foundation Vietnam have received an order to conduct a study on the commercialization of a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River, a project using private capital. Senior Executive Director Akinori Ido believes that ``While yen-based loan projects are shrinking, private capital projects will expand.'' He said: "We will actively work to utilize private capital in Vietnam and other countries."
President Eiji expressed hope to find tourism demand, including from regions outside Asia. Referring to a project Chodai received in Madagascar to enhance road and bridge management and maintenance capabilities, President Eiji said, "There is a need (in Madagascar) for things like tourism bases." Aiming to coordinate with tangible projects, he stressed the need to develop the region and boost the economy through intangible aspects such as tourism.
The company’s product business, such as reflective paint for road signs, has been successful for more than 10 years. President Eiji said that the reflective paint “can create reflective conditions even on existing roads, so we get a lot of inquiries.” In addition to domestic sales, we are also expanding overseas to the Philippines. The company plans to increase its overseas business in the future.
