JERA announced on the 16th that it held a ceremony to mark the completion of the Formosa 2 offshore wind farm off the northwest coast of Taiwan. Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen and JERA President Yukio Kani attended to celebrate the completion of the construction. On January 31st of this year, the project completed the installation of the fixed-floor wind power generator. Commissioning is also underway, and in April it reached a rated output of 376,000 kilowatts. After completing various procedures, the company aims to start commercial operation in 2023.
