Mitsubishi Electric is conducting research and development on transparent antennas. With the rapid expansion of antennas due to the development of wireless communications, the aim is to make the product transparent so that it can be installed in more locations without affecting the landscape design or surrounding buildings. The company has received patents for window glass and LCD display mounting technology. Yoshio Inazawa, general manager of antenna technology at the company's Information Technology Research Institute, expressed enthusiasm, saying: "We want to commercialize it within three to four years."
