MingYang installs first hybrid towers
The first batch of MySE 4.0-166 & 173 turbines are being erected in China
Guangdong Energy has installed the first turbine at its Zhuhai Jinwan offshore wind farm off Zhuhai City. The project will feature at total of 55 MingYang MySE5.5MW turbines when completed.
MingYang Smart Energy has announced its high steel-concrete hybrid tower solutions have entered the commercialisation phase with the installation of the first batches of MySE 4.0-166 & 173 wind turbines China.
The machines with a 160-metre hub height are going up in Anhui.
The hybrid tower has a segmented, prefabricated and prestressed structure that allows for easy transportation and adaptability to various terrains, MingYang said.
It has been certified by DNV-GL and can be customized and optimized for large turbines of 4MW+, it added.
