The administrative building will be the symbol of the Fukushima National Memorial and Prayer Facility, and will be built on a site called the "Memorial and Rest Hill". Once completed, this inverted cone-shaped space will be buried in the hill, to become a place to remember those who experienced the earthquake and continue to focus attention on March 11. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2026. The Fukushima National Memorial and Prayer Facility, along with the Reconstruction Memorial Park being developed by the prefecture, are scheduled to be completed by March 2026, marking the 15th anniversary of the earthquake disaster.
