◆ 66,000 V / measures against snow accretion
Hokkaido Electric Power Network announced on the 10th that the main restoration work for the 66,000V Monbetsu Higashi Line steel tower that collapsed in the snow storm on December 23rd last year was completed on the same day. About 24,000 households in five cities and towns along the Sea of Okhotsk suffered a temporary power outage due to the collapse of a steel tower. As a result, the power outage in all houses was resolved on the night of December 25th. Temporary steel poles were also erected in the section of the Monbetsu Higashi Line that had been cut off, and power transmission was resumed on December 28, and the main restoration work on the steel tower began in January of this year.
