At the regular general meeting held on the 23rd and the subsequent board meeting, the Overseas Electric Power Research Institute appointed Managing Director Somi Iki as the new chairman and Yoshihito Morishita, an adviser to Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (HD) as the new managing director. Both took office on the same date. Full-time Managing Director Shigeo Naruse and Managing Director Yoshihiro Takechi were reappointed. Chairman Yuji Masuda resigned.

Mr. Iki
Mr. Iki comes from Tokyo Electric Power Company and has a long career in the planning department. For about three years from 2005, he also served as Hachioji branch manager. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, he led the reorganization and rationalization of the group companies as the person in charge of the group business, to raise funds for management reconstruction, compensation and decommissioning.
