Many workers engaged in construction well (around JR Fujimori Station, around 11:15 pm on the 25th)

On the night of the 25th, JR West switched tracks between JR Fujimori Station and Rokujizo Station, within the second -term compounding project (14 km) on the Nara Line (Kyoto -Kizu). Approximately 600 workers removed and shifted the rails, and finished their work on the morning of the 26th. This will complete the double track of the second section, and will open in line with the schedule revision on March 18.
The switching work started around 9:20 after all trains between Kyoto Station and Joyo Station were suspended after 9:00 pm on the 25th. The switching extension is about 710 meters. Civil Engineering orbital construction was divided into 10 groups, and equipment such as signals and overhead lines was divided into nine groups, and the tracks were duplicated over 9 hours.

Near JR Fujimori Station, the work of shifting up to 1.7 meters of existing tracks was performed, and the workers inserted the bar under the rails and shifted the track little by little according to the shout.

The second business was started in FY2013 following the first section (8.2 km) that opened in March 2001. The maintenance section is 14 km between JR Fujimori Station and Uji Station (9.9 km), Nitta Station and Joyo Station (2.1 km), and Yamashiro Taga Station and Tamasui Station (2.0 km). There are many customers, Kyoto and Joyo, all are double tracks. 64 % of the Nara Line (34.7 km) will be double -tracked in the opening of the second phase.

The growing home of Kyoto Station, the relocation of the station building at Rokujizo Station, and the bridge of Tamasui Station and Yamashiro Aoya Station has been promoted. The project cost is about 39.7 billion yen.
