Over 100,000 yen in all areas of Stores, no progress to pass on to mixed materials / Survey by Economic Research Council
The price of straight asphalt (stores), which is the raw material for asphalt mixture used for pavement work, reached a record high. According to the survey results (as of 10th) of the Economic Research Council (Chairman Yoshiaki Morikita), it will continue to grow against the backdrop of rising crude oil prices and the depreciation of the yen. Stores (lorries) with a needle entry degree of 60 to 80 exceeded the 100,000 yen mark for the first time in all 55 districts of major cities nationwide, including Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. However, the transfer of prices to asphalt mixture has not progressed sufficiently, and the management of the mixture manufacturing plant is likely to become even more difficult.
In this survey, the store price exceeded the 100,000 yen level for the first time. 23 districts of Kobe ▽ Nara ▽ Wakayama ▽ Okayama ▽ Hiroshima ▽ Shimoseki ▽ Shunan-. Both increased by 24,000 yen from the previous month, and the four districts of Mito, Utsunomiya, Maebashi, and Kofu were 122,000 yen, and the other 19 districts were 120,000 yen. Of the 55 districts, the remaining 32 districts also exceed 100,000 yen.
According to the study group, the background is that the crude oil market is intensifying due to the embargo on Russian crude oil. Domestic crude oil procurement prices have risen further and remain high, coupled with the continued depreciation of the yen. Oil wholesalers that manufacture and sell stores pass on the increase in raw material costs to product prices.
On the other hand, the asphalt mixture manufacturing cost has not been passed on sufficiently. Looking at the prices of recycled heated asphalt mixtures (recycled dense particle size <13>) in 23 districts where the store price exceeded 100,000 yen, the prices increased from the previous month in Kofu, Kyoto, Fukuchiyama, Kobe, Nara, Wakayama, and Hiroshima. Stay in 7 districts. However, the study group analyzed that "not the increase in stores this time, but the price increase of manufacturers in each region trying to pass on the increase so far has penetrated the market" (person in charge). He said he will pay close attention to how this increase will affect future transaction prices.
The government clarified measures against soaring stores in the "comprehensive emergency measures" decided in April in response to soaring crude oil prices and prices. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry are encouraging those involved in asphalt mixture transactions to appropriately pass on the increase in raw material costs, and are requesting public and private orderers to set appropriate contract prices.
