Osaka Prefectural Minoh City Council / Approval of new hospital designation management system, open recruitment of management candidates early in 2011

Minoh City Council in Osaka Prefecture approved a proposal to amend the ordinance to introduce a management system specified in the development plan of the new city hospital on May 27. Along with that, the city City will begin the public recruitment process for designated management candidates at the beginning of fiscal year 2023. Fiscal Year 23 budget covers the cost of selection of designated management candidates, services support basic planning, CM (construction management) services and ground survey. City Hospital (Kayano 5) will be moved to the former location of Shinsenba North Park (Semba East 1, approximately 1.5 ha) adjacent to COM Building No. 1. Maintenance will be carried out by batch method. design-build (DB). Construction will begin in fiscal year 25 and the hospital will open at the end of fiscal year 27.

According to the city's basic development plan compiled in February, "early reconstruction is an urgent matter" as the current city hospital is aging and faces a difficult situation to introduce new equipment. latest medical equipment. It will continue to be a public hospital and aims to secure at least 300 acute care beds and up to 350 beds. With the expected guarantee of 50 rehabilitation beds at the current hospital, all hospital rooms will be converted into private rooms for the first time at a public hospital in the province.       In order to build a new hospital, the city judged that it was necessary to reorganize and integrate with other hospitals in the Toyono Secondary Medical District, including the city itself. When we conducted a survey on hospital reorganization and integration with medical corporations in the Hono Secondary Medical Area, we found that some medical corporations were active about the reorganization and integration. Since these medical corporations wanted a designated management system in which they would operate the new hospital themselves, they decided to choose this system as their management method.

Designated management candidates are expected to be decided around the summer. The city will work with candidates to develop a master plan. After the City Council approves the designated manager at its December council meeting, the city and the administrator will sign an agreement 24 years early. The basic plan will be compiled in fiscal year 23 and expenses such as DB operator selection and design costs will be required in the initial budget proposal for fiscal year 24. When the budget is approved issued, the company will begin the procedure of public offering of DB operators and it is expected that the DB operator will be selected sometime in the summer of 24.
