Kyushu Electric Power Company announced on the 21st that it has begun a demonstration test in a shopping district in Fukuoka City, using an online platform provided by the company and others to invite residents and Businesses discuss regional recovery measures. The aim is to create a system for gathering local opinions on local issues such as crime prevention and promoting attractiveness, and making it easier to reflect them in government. The end date of the protest has not yet been determined.
The demonstration will be led by Kyushu Electric Power, the joint venture company Liquitous (Yokohama City, CEO Takuyuki Kurimoto) and the Fukuoka government-industry-academia-government organization (owner President Yasushi Aso).
