The module underwent technical proof of concept and third-party validation earlier this year. The company has now conducted more than 250 hours of on-site and monitored reliability and stability testing during sustained levels of operation in Skive, Denmark.
H2 View understands that GHS can now release the X-Series product for binding contractual commitments on a performance-based price structure. The 6MW pressurised alkaline solution is suitable for medium to large-scale hydrogen plants and projects.
As the company begins dialogue with potential customers on the system, which will be available for order intake this year, they will also begin phase two prototype testing, which includes additional technical and operational learnings from the product.
“The tests give us confidence in the products reliability, and we are now ready for binding contractual commitments on a performance-based structure,” explained Peter Friis, CEO at GHS.
“We believe this model will support the roll-out of our first batch of the X-Series electrolysers to customers.”
In March (2024), Friis said that he expects the X-Series electrolyser to be the “main revenue driver from 2025 and onwards” for Green Hydrogen Systems.
The system has been tested as part of the GreenHyScale project, which received funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
